The Town And Apres Ski

Brinacon is well worth a visit with its thermal baths, Les Grands Bains, which has been developed into a leisure complex. There are ice-rinks, decent walking trails and you can spend a good night out watching the local ice hockey team.

The mountain restaurants are well distributed over the area and there are some good places. The Café Soleil belies its appearance and offers great value and excellent service. For a long, relaxing lunch head to Bachas and, if you’re looking for an indulgent lunch, book a table at L’Echaillon.

Because of the disjointed nature of Serre Chevalier the nightlife is quite quiet and is centred around the various bars in the different villages. Buses don’t run at night, and taxis are expensive, so you’re normally stuck going out in the place you’re staying in. Probably the best place to head to is the Grptte du Yeti in Villeneuve, although it will be full of Brits, and the Baita nightclub is open until 5am.
