Skiing Holidays

Sainte Foy

Sainte Foy is a growing, tastefully built ski station with lots of new chalets. There are none of the big ugly developments that you’ll find in other resorts, but don’t head to Ste Foy if you’re looking for a good nightlife.

Ste Foy is renowned for its superb off piste skiing and appeals to both families and experts alike. The extent of the pistes is limited so many people use it as a base to explore the surrounding mega resorts.

Pros

  • The lift pass is cheap, and there’s lots of good value accommodation.
  • The chairlifts are slow.
  • The resort is quiet, with no queues and is good for families.

Cons

  • The piste network is very limited.
  • The Portes du Soleil is quite low for a French ski resort and the lower slopes can suffer from a lack of snow.
  • The resort is too quiet for many.
