If you would like to book a holiday with Chalet 1802 then you simply fill out our online booking form and then phone our office on 01647 277237 and speak to one of our team. An initial deposit will be taken to secure your reservation, full payment is then required 10 weeks prior to your departure. - Whats included in the price of the holiday?
7 nights chalet accommodation, cooked breakfast daily, afternoon tea daily. Aperitifs, canapés, four course evening meal, including wine, coffee and chocolates daily (except on Wednesdays when chalet staff have full day off). Local taxes (not airport taxes). Mini bus service in resort, linen and towels. - Do you supply wine and beer?
Unlike most chalet companies we take our wine just as seriously as our food. To this end we provide you with a selection of fine wines. We dont provide cheap house plonk and then charge you for more drinkable wine. There are no honesty bars in our chalets, you can help yourselves, or allow our staff to serve you, an unlimited supply of wine and beer, and theres even soda for the kids. - Do you have an in resort minibus service?
We offer a courtesy chauffeured minibus service in resort to shuttle you to and from your chosen ski area and into town for that all important apes ski and shopping. This service means you never have to struggle with skis and ski boots and is available from 8.30-9.30am and from 4-11pm. The minibus service is not available in the middle of the day as our staff work very hard and this is their time off. - What happens on the staff day off?
On the staff day off continental breakfast will be laid out for you, as well as afternoon tea. There is no minibus shuttle service, but as Chalet Schuss is ski in ski out and The Farmhouse 200m from the slopes itll hardly be missed. In the evenings we will drive you to your restaurant of choice and pick you up afterwards saving you the hassle and cost of a taxi or the need for a dedicated driver. - How do I get to Chamonix from the airport?
Chamonix is only 1hr away from Geneva airport making getting to the chalets fast, easy and efficient. We are more than happy to help arrange and book transfers on your behalf. Simply fill out our transfer booking form and well get back to you with the details. - Is Chamonix suitable for families and beginners?
Chamonix certainly has a reputation as an extreme ski resort but there is also a great variety terrain. Our chalets are based in Les Houches which is great for beginners and families. Les Houches has the largest number of pistes in Chamonix, and the greatest variety and the local ski school is just a few minutes drive from our chalets making it the ideal place in Chamonix for beginners. - Ive never skied in Chamonix before. What is it like?
Chamonix is unlike any other ski resort. Chamonix certainly has a deserved reputation as the extreme sking capital of the world with Les Grands Montets, the Valle Blanche and Helbronner. However, with its 5 different mountains, not including Courmayeur in Italy, there is a wide variety of terrain. In fact you can ski and discover a different ski area each day of the week. - How much is ski hire?
The cost of hiring skis has come down over recent years. We have also negotiated a 10% discount for all Chalet1802 guests so the price of ski hire is around 80-140 Euros for 6 days depending on the level of ski you want. - How much are ski passes and which ski pass would you recommend for me?
If you are an absolute beginner then the Les Houches ski pass is your best bet. The Les Houches ski pass comes in a number of tariffs and is very competitively priced, especially its family tariffs. (6 Day Adult 135 Euros/Child 95 Euros). If you are an intermediate or above skier then the Mont Blanc Unlimited is the best option for exploring the Chamonix Valley. (6 Day Adult 220 Euros/Child 176). - Do we need to pre book ski gear?
Theres really no need to book ski gear before your arrival. - Do we need to pre book ski lessons?
The best ski instructors get booked up quickly so youre best off to book ski lessons before you come out trying to book ski lessons once in resort can be tricky, especially during peak weeks. We are happy to advise and help book and arrange ski lessons. - Do we need to pre book ski passes?
You can pre book your ski pass before your arrival and well collect it for you in order to save you the time and hassle of doing so on your arrival. You dont need a photo and all we ask is that you pay us back during the week in Euros. - What time is check in and checkout time in the chalet?
Our check in time is 4pm and checkout 10am. If you should turn up earlier you can check in to the chalet but please understand that the chalets may to be ready if you arrive earlier. If you wish to ski on the Sun when you leave then we will leave a room and ensuite at your disposal to put your luggage in and change in when you return, but we do require that you vacate your rooms by 10am. - Do the chalet staff live in?
All of our chalet staff live out of the chalets. - Can you cater for special dietary requirements?
We only ever employ professional chefs in our chalets, and that doesnt include people who have a couple of weeks cookery school experience on their cvs. So dietary requirements are no problem and we can also cater for children with child friendly food and an earlier diner sitting. - Do you sell individual places at your chalets?
We only sell our chalets on a whole chalet exclusive basis.
